Zhang Ju (张炬), Bassist of Tang Dynasty

History

Zhang Ju was born 1970 in Beijing as youngest of three children. He started playing guitar in 1984 and switched to bass in 1986.

May 11th 1995, Zhang Ju died in a motorcycle accident.

In March 1996, the "Good-bye Zhang Ju" (再见张炬) (or A Tribute to Zhang Ju (VA)) memory album was recorded and released. In May, Tang Dynasty performed in Tangshan during the first anniversary concert of Zhang Jun's death. In 1997, Tang Dynasty resumed rehearsing and together with several other bands, they recorded the song Goodbye Zhang Ju (再见.张炬), as a memory.
