History

This is an young but outstandingly engergetic rock band, their name "ten4all" or literally as "10 RMB Shop" refers to a specific new underground culture in the old city of their hometown Handan -- this term has become the code word for a new uprising red light/prostitution scene, the band was form at the peak of its escalation. The choice of this name wasnt meant for eye-catching but in hope to reveal Handan's most hidden interesting subculture though the rebellious spirit of punk rock.

ten4all was formed in 2002 by master mind Niuniu who is being seen as one of the founders of Handan's new school punk movement. As for this influencial rock band who inspired many young people in their attitude towards life, each live performance of ten4all has almost become a festivity for local rock fans.

In 2004 a line up change occurred with ten4all's fresh new blood Feng Jianxun. After participation of several, partly self organized local underground gigs, the influential force of ten4all has expanded a lot, they also became the first rock band from Handan who has been featured on TV interviews.

The Handan rock underground released its first compilation CD "Hu Fu Qi She" (The new manner of arms) in 2005 featuring one ten4all song "Music Killer". The same year the band has been put on halt due to frontman Niuniu's departure to Beijing for college.

During his vacation in 2006, Niuniu formed another band Cursed Orange with guitar player Pei Xianwei which is the first metal core band from Handan.

In 2007 Niuniu wrote a new song named "Magic in the Moment" in skater punk style, showing how well the great feels of both extrem sports and punk music go along together.

Niuniu's new band Cursed Orange contributed their song "Please forgive me" to the 5th output of China's most influential compilation series "Resurrection of the Gods" which rose a generally positive reputation for the band among scene people. Further more, Cursed Orange also appeared on famous rock magazines such as 1626, Painkiller Magazine, I love Rock etc. both with song and interview features. In August that year, Niuniu again gathered the right line up to revive his ten4all, this time together with band pal Pei Xianwei on guitars. Thus, the new force of Handan punk is ready to kick ass.

By the year 2009 ten4all had already enough song materials together, and with the new joint-in friend and producer Li Zhuo they spend on month to enter the studio and recorded their carefully chosen songs. The debut album "Magic in the Moment" is beeing scheduled for a nation wide release on 10th October 2010.

The brand new song "Let us hold each other more tight" Niuniu wrote in 2010 has been included onto the Cover CD of "So Rock Magazine" Magazine (issue No. 95).

ten4all is a very attractive rock band, they are not only extremely entertaining, they also put deeper sence of thinking and their philosophical aspect into their music -- angry music but full of wit, the lyrics are a bit exaggerated but put in the right tone, that comes out with a bursting dynamic. To some extend, ten4all's music expresses what punk rock really suppose to be.

Handan, a both familiar and foreign city, a city that seemingly never appears in any stories, but in a future not far, you will automatically associate this city with a rock band, and that is: ten4all!
