The Sound of Shanghai

As Andy Best has started his call for the Sound of Shanghai, what is the genre mostly associated with Shanghai? In the comments I argued that Shanghai would be the city of "cheesy classic rock" for me, though does that comment still holds valid with bands such as Pinkberry, the Crazy Mushroom Brigade and Six Shot on the scene? --Azchael 14:20, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
