History

Hailing from Beijing, Xiaoming Shen and Di Li united to create the band Nether Flute in autumn of 2001. Thereafter, Lei Zhang and Liang Zhang joined and they began to explore the speed power metal with strong melody.

Nether Flute said that they concentrate on their music and as a listener of their first song "Hero Legend" we have to admit, yes, it is true: You can feel the power, sense the energy and live their music. This is a double thumb plus!

History in China

This must be a band you have never heard of. And actually, in the obscurity, it was born.

This is a speed power metal band formed by a group of youth in their 20s in Beijing. The band has not made any loud slogans, or told any profound philosophy, because the members have devoted all their energy into their works. As a listener, you can ignore anything else about this band, but not their works. The impact and shock of the power brought to you through their works is not the kind that you can resist.

Built in Oct, 2001, the band was formed by two classmates XiaoMing SHEN(vocal) and Di LI(guitar) who both started play metal music since high school. In the early stage, they just covered some songs by the classic bands, and in the gradual process, they germinated the motivation to create their own music. During this time, they created their first work, Legend of the Warrior (the original "Legend of the Warrior" is an adapted work of the Soviet Union song, "Katyusha". This song can be seem as an attempt before they create on their own, and is also to cherish the memory of the last generation for their selfless dedication to their ideals and life. Upon finish the guitar and vocal part, the band's friend, Lei Zhang, bass from Regicide (弑主) was invited to join and finished the recording of the song together. Nether Flute, appeared as the first melody metal band in China, their music brought the Chinese metal music a brand-new style. The emergence of this style met with the way Mort Productions promotes metal music in China. This idea to innovative the Chinese Metal develop was eventually determined by Mort. While ably assisted in the development of this young band, Mort put the song into the directory of Resurrection of the Gods 2, an underground metal collection by MORT Productions.

Since then, the road of Nether Flute has extended forward. The band started to created wholeheartedly original works with their own style and constantly improve themselves.

In 2003, after recordist, Liang Mao, of Mort Productions stopped the work with The Legend, he joined Nether Flute as a guitarist and speeded-up the pace of composing. During this time, demos of the new songs had been recorded, and the percussion section of all the songs were done by drum machine. The band hadn't had any gigs yet.

In Mar, 2003, "Resurrection of the Gods 2" was officially published. Nether Flute received more and more positive reviews everyday, and became the most high-profile metal band among "Resurrection of the God 2". Everyone has great expectation for the band's future, and is more convinced that Nether Flute has become the Star of Hope emerged from China's metal industry.

In 2004, Mort Productions launched a plan intended for a revolution for the Chinese underground metal music, and this not-yet-fully-constructed band has carried heavy pressure since. After created 10 songs, they started to plan for gigs. For Nether Flute and Mort Productions, minor energy generated from every effort is aggregating, and all things is building something outgoing. The shock from the heavy metal music of China's new era won't hold you wait too long! Zheng Chen, CEO of Taiwan Rock Empire Music, Scream Shout Records, gave them a high recognition after he listened to the demo, and agreed to promote with Mort jointly in the Taiwan Strait.

2005年底，乐队进驻西安时音录音室。录制第一张专集。直至2006年9月15日，乐队带着他们的全新作品在重型音乐杂志六周年庆典中出现。当他们的经典歌曲＜勇士传说＞在舞台上奏响，人们的热血再次沸腾，点燃起金属乐迷们的激情心火！

2006年12月，乐队最终确定了专集的名字〈觉醒〉。这张专集即将在2007年发行。
