History
A mostly instrumental, post-rock kinda metal band comprised of members from outside of China (Beijing, experimental/post metal)
Nakoma, a newly formed Beijing-based band with it's three members from different countries, has recently entered beijing's metal scene. They feature post-metal music, often combined with electronic sounds and sometimes with a tendency towards grunge and industrial music. This is an instrumental band with a distinctive sound and an original live show, aimed at creating an atmosphere that will mesmerize the audience. Don't miss the chance to catch the creative vibes of this up and coming experimental band...
In 2008 Weizi (巍子) graduated from Midi School of Music and joint Nakoma, around this time their former RSP had to return to the US soon. Weizi who came from Inner Mongolia brought a certain Mongolian touch (melodies and throat singing) into the music, together with already existing elements such as metal, post rock, sludge, electronica and southern rock, it all turned into an unique mix of post metal as they band call it themselves.
The same year, the first staged in MAO Livehouse with the new line up and went on southern China tour with Voodoo Kungfu where Nicola also plays bass.
After a period of small club shows, the band took a break in 2010 until they became more active again in 2011 where they release an EP "Welcome to Flatland".
