One of Shanghai's earliest and most respected jazz bars, this smoky dive focuses on the blues side of the genre with a band of talented and seasoned musicians as well as frequent traveling acts. With strong cocktails and a dark interior, it's the quintessential jazz bar for an older audience.

墙上挂着相当多的Billy　Holiday、John Coltrane等爵士乐大师们的海报，非常规整地嵌在正方形棕色木框内。从门廊沿着弧形的吧台进入表演区，周围环境典雅，红棕色的樟木圆桌和墙板使吧台格调统一。不带夸大的成分，没有多余的布置，一切各归其所，恰到好处。这是一个以其实力而著称的酒吧，是上海最富盛名的爵士乐酒吧，拥有非常多的忠实常客。身陷表演区侧面的黑色转角真皮沙发内，听Cotton Club乐队的现场演奏，可以感受到其内在的静谧与优雅。因为彻夜的演出，Cotton Club不是一个适于和朋友聊天的地点。Cotton Club有一支主要成员来自美国的乐队，演出前的排练非常严格。音乐总监美国人Greg Smith，同时也是该酒吧的老板。主唱Terrence和贝司手、鼓手都来自美国，主要成员还有两名中国人，他们都是来自音乐学院或做音乐多年的专业选手。演出的经典曲目有：Little Red Rooster、Six Strings Down、 So What、Blue Train。Cotton Club开业几年间吸引了不少名人前去那里，如果你多去几次，就可以见到眼下一些当红的女作家。
